Top Electronic Payments Industry Veteran to Drive Company’s Growth Strategies

BOSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–ROAM Data, the leading independent mCommerce solutions provider, today announced the appointment of Ken Paull to the newly created position of executive vice president. Paull, who has extensive electronic payments industry experience, will be responsible for all sales, marketing and business development functions at ROAM.

Prior to joining ROAM Data, Paull was Director at the consulting firm, Market Platform Dynamics, (MPD) where he worked with ROAM as a client of their Catalyst Ventures subsidiary which helps emerging companies develop profitable ignition strategies and scale. According to Karen Webster, MPD’s chief executive officer, “it became clear that to help ROAM achieve its goals, Ken needed to devote his full time energies to executing its strategy. We’ll continue to work together on a variety of activities and look forward to supporting Ken and ROAM as we harness our collective efforts to position ROAM as the premier mobile commerce platform over the coming years.”

Ken Paull’s previous roles included senior vice president at RBS Lynk (now WorldPay), vice president at Triton Systems and general manager at VeriFone. During his tenure at these three companies, Lynk was sold to RBS ($525M), Triton was sold to Dover Corp. and VeriFone was sold to Hewlett Packard ($1.2B).

Paull is credited with building and rapidly growing what is now WorldPay’s national accounts division while also growing what had been a declining ATM processing business by 500%. While he was at Triton, the company surpassed NCR as the 2nd largest domestic ATM supplier and also became the global leader in retail ATM deployments. At VeriFone, Ken built their direct, major account division which has become one of the largest segments of their business.

“Ken’s leadership experience in successfully growing market share with many businesses in our industry will be critical to helping us build market share,” said Will Graylin, ROAM’s founder and chief executive officer. “His charter is to accelerate our momentum towards becoming the world’s leading provider of mobile commerce solutions”. ROAM has become the #1 provider of secure mobile card readers and has a full software platform to help merchant service providers deliver a variety of mCommerce solutions to its merchants.

Paull currently serves on the board of directors of Access to Money and is affiliated with the Georgia-based charity Children’s Restoration Network. A native of the Boston area, Paull holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing and Communications from Babson College and a Master of Business Administration in Telecommunications Management from Golden Gate University.
