ROAM Launches Professional Services Group to Streamline Complex Mobile Commerce Integrations

Cross-functional team created to further accelerate ROAM’s position as the leader in mobile commerce solutions

BOSTON, February 11, 2013 – ROAM, the leading mobile commerce platform provider, today announced the launch of a Professional Services Group which will focus on helping customers streamline the complexities of integrating mobile technology into their existing infrastructure in order to capitalize on the latest mobile point of sale opportunities. ROAM’s Professional Services Group is comprised of a dedicated team of solutions architects, engineers, project managers and implementation specialists who will support enterprise customer engagements from conceptualization, through development, to implementation and launch.

ROAM’s new professional services group is led by Eric Spear, who joins the company from Opera Solutions where he served as vice president of software development. Eric brings over 20 years of experience managing cross-functional teams responsible for executing complex customer engagements.

This is the latest in a series of strategic organizational appointments by ROAM CEO, Ken Paull, designed to further accelerate ROAM’s position as the leading player in mobile commerce. Other recent appointments include:

  • Eric Hoffman, senior vice president of US sales, appointed to lead sales and account management for the US. Eric brings 20 years of experience in payments, having previously served in executive positions at Bank of America Merchant Services and First Data.
  • Bill Pittman, senior vice president of product management, appointed to lead ROAM’s global product group. The Founder of GO Software (sold to VeriFone) and TPI Software (sold to Hypercom), Bill brings more than 25 years of experience in creating highly successful payments products.
  • Benoit Boudier, senior vice president of international sales, appointed to lead international sales for ROAM. Benoit also heads up, Sales and Marketing for Ingenico’s Mobile Payments business unit.
  • Scott Holt, vice president of marketing, appointed to lead ROAM’s worldwide marketing group. Scott brings 20 years of experience in marketing, having most recently served in senior management roles with payment solutions providers, ExaDigm and Tranax Technologies.
