Industry’s leading Mobile Commerce Platform to also unveil the first in a new series of low cost EMV mobile card readers.

BOSTON, January 14 2013 — ROAM, the leading mobile commerce platform provider, today announced that it will demo a suite of new retail mobile point of sale solutions that expand mobile functionality beyond payments, at the National Retail Federation (NRF) BIG Show in New York City on January 13-16, 2013. The event is expected to attract more than 25,000 plus retail industry professionals. ROAM, an Ingenico company, will be featured in the mobile innovations section of the Ingenico Booth 1653.

“We’re very excited about being part of the NRF show,” says Ken Paull CEO at ROAM. “ROAM will showcase for the first time, a number of new products including our G4X Mobile Card Reader and the latest version of our ROAMpay application. What we’re most excited about is our new suite of Retail Mobile Point of Sale solutions which extend full point of sale functionality, beyond just payment acceptance, to smartphones and tablets .”

ROAM’s suite of retail solutions offer something for merchants of all sizes. The SMB Retail Solution is a turnkey offering for small to mid-sized retailers based on the industry-leading ROAMpay application and secure reader hardware, while the Enterprise Retail Solution offers major retailers a fully customizable, integrated and PCI-compliant mobile point of sale system tailored to meet the requirements of their business. Examples of use cases for enterprise implementations are in-home (B2C) or remote business (B2B) delivery, sales, repairs and installations – especially where the establishment of, or changes to, an order need to be handled on site and in real time. Through integrations to existing management systems, POS applications and payment hosts, ROAM’s enterprise solution enables real time processing of change orders through backend systems, onsite payment acceptance, and remote resource monitoring and allocation.

ROAM will also demonstrate the first in a new series of low cost EMV mobile card readers – the RP350x. “It’s one thing to bring out a chip reader, and there are many out there, but the complication comes when the EMV client and server side applications have to be integrated with the phone, says Paull. “ROAM was able to leverage Ingenico’s EMV expertise in producing a fully-compliant solution that offers more functionality than any other in the market.”

Mr. Paull spoke with PYMNTS.COM in depth about the products and applications they are preparing to showcase at NRF. To listen to the podcast please click here.
