Southwestern Advantage Selects ROAM to Deliver Custom-branded Mobile POS Solution

Enables nationwide dealers to securely accept credit card payments on mobile devices

BOSTON, MA, September 16, 2013 — ROAM, an Ingenico company and the leading mobile commerce platform provider, today announced that Southwestern Advantage, a leading international education and character development company, has selected ROAM to power its mobile point of sale (mPOS) solution. The end-to-end solution known as Southwestern Swipe, will enable the company’s dealers to securely accept credit card payments on smartphones and tablets while out in the field selling the Southwestern Advantage Learning System.

As part of the Southwestern Advantage mobile initiative, the company wanted to get to market with its own custom-branded mPOS solution as quickly as possible. The company was able to launch Southwestern Swipe in only a few months by white labeling ROAM’s end-to-end mobile commerce platform, including its secure mobile card readers, mPOS application, and management portals.
