There are 2 LEDs on the top of the Reader, Red and a Blue. The lights indicate the following statuses:

Red:

Blinking red light – the reader is low on charge and needs to be recharged. Blinking red light also indicates that the reader is charging (when it is connected to a charger).

Solid red light – Reader has enough charge in the battery to perform a transaction.

Blue:

Blinking Blue light – The reader is ready/available to be connected to a mobile device via Bluetooth.

Solid Blue light – The reader is successfully connected to a mobile device via Bluetooth
